12 Sports Coloring Books Kids (and Adults) Will Love
Looking for some great coloring books for boys or anyone who loves sports? Check out this list of coloring books all about sports to give active sports fan a calm break for some relaxation.
One day, a few months back, T started bringing home a half dozen hand-drawn pictures of soccer players and hockey goalies from school. Up until this time, we hadn’t really spent much time coloring with our boys. They are very active “all boy” boys who never stop playing, wrestling and “dropping the gloves”. They adore playing sports any time of day. I never thought they’d sit long enough to color.
A new teacher at school, however, with a knack for drawing, seemed to have won over T’s heart with paper and crayons, provided they were drawing pictures related to his favorite sports. I capitalized on this interest and bought T his first hockey coloring book. He loved it, and we haven’t turned back.
T still plays hours and hours of sports a day, but we have also started a small collection of sports coloring books that capture his attention for long periods of time on rainy days and during quiet time. Coloring also seems to help calm him down when he’s tired or worked up from a long and busy day.
We store our crayons and markers in a DIY drawstring bag I made from an old t-shirt. I’ve made an upcycled drawstring bag using my sewing machine and another version of the bag with double-sided fabric tape (if you’re not up for the sewing machine version).
We have several of these coloring books and the rest are on our wish list. If you know of other great sports coloring books, let us know in the comments or on social media @honestlymodern on Facebook and Instagram.
I didn’t know there were so many sports coloring books! Thanks for sharing on the #wastelesswednesday blog hop!
