If you’re in looking for new ethical jewelry or fair trade shoes, Nisolo is one of my favorite brands. I supported their initial Kickstarter several years ago, and these are still one of my favorite pairs of earrings I own today. Read more about this high-quality ethical jewelry and shoe brand.
Nisolo is currently having its largest sale ever! Be sure to check it out before it ends. Use code SEPTSAVINGS for 20% off full-price and additional 25% of sale items.
Many of you are probably familiar with the crowdfunding platform. For those new to Kickstarter, the company provides a fundraising platform to help brands get their amazing new products off and running.
I’ve purchased several items from Kickstarter, and these Mini Rex Earrings from Nisolo were definitely the best Kickstarter purchase I’ve made. Sufficiently simple for everyday wear and perfectly professional for work meetings, they are also substantial enough to dress up a bit and get noticed. I actually received a couple of compliments on them the first day I wore them to the office a while back, and they are still one of my favorite pairs of earrings I own.
Since initialing learning about Nisolo and buying a couple of products, many more sustainable accessory companies have entered the market. However, Nisolo is still one of my favorites. I love so many of their products; their design is right up my alley.
What Is Nisolo and How Is It Sustainable?
Nisolo started its foray into socially conscious fashion with shoes handmade in Peru. All of their designs have a minimalist theme and a focus on high-quality.
I have the Mollie Heels, which they have since retired. I also own a pair of their Serena Sandals, which have been a staple in my closet for several summers. They are super versatile, comfortable, and have lasted many seasons. I shared more about why I love my Nisolo Serena Sandals back in this post, and my opinions about them still hold true.
Nisolo, meaning “not alone,” stands behind the motto that we’re not alone in this world. The Nisolo team, the consumers, and the artisans function together in our global world to create a fair and effective market for all parties to succeed.
When I received my Mini Rex Earrings from the Kickstarter campaign, I received with them a handwritten note from the Nisolo team thanking me for my purchase. Over 1,100 people backed the campaign, and I presume Nisolo operates with a relatively small team behind-the-scenes. That’s a heck of a lot of notes! And it’s a small but meaningful way to show their appreciation for my contribution to the circle of conscious commerce we are all building together.
I have written about Nisolo a few times in the past, and right now they are having their largest sale ever. I’m not sure how long it will last, but they have some really great pieces that are worth a glance. They still carry these Serena Sandals, which I still own and wear regularly.
Below is the outfit I wore the first day I donned the Mini Rex Earrings at the office. If you haven’t checked out Nisolo, take a few minutes to take a peek at their site.
