Loving Lately | Late Spring Edition

Spring is here (at least where we live). We’re getting outside and in the heart of little league baseball season. School lets out in just a few days, and we’re ready for summer. Here are a few things we’re loving lately.

This post is part of the Loving Lately series.

Butter Keeper

It seems like a small thing, but I really love this butter keeper. Soft butter is such a small luxury, and it makes me so happy. It’s even better when it’s on my counter in a pretty container. While you can buy a new one, it’s something you might be able to find secondhand at an antique shop, a thrift store, from a friend, or on eBay. I got mine from my mother-in-law a while back and use it all the time now.

Our New Tesla Model 3

I’ve wanted an electric car for quite some time, and I did a lot of research on electric cars last summer and fall to decide which type of electric vehicle we would buy. We ultimately decided on the Tesla Model 3, due in large part to the reliable battery technology and the more robust Tesla charging station infrastructure.

I expected to like the car, but we absolutely love the car! It’s fast. It’s fun. It handles well. And it’s just an all-around amazing car to drive. I can’t wait until we all get to drive electric cars.

A Baseball Hat for Summer

I never felt comfortable wearing a baseball hat until last summer. I always loved how it looked on other people but never felt like it suited my style. When I started coaching my son’s baseball team, wearing the team hat during games was so helpful in keeping the sun off my face and out of my eyes.

I don’t have a favorite brand, but if you’re not a baseball hat girl, I recommend you give it a shot. I’ve been surprised how much I like it (and it doesn’t hurt that it covers up my very dirty hair on hot days). Props to baseball caps for extending that no-wash hair routine an extra day or two.

Before investing in one yourself, consider borrowing from a friend. I bet you could even request one in your local Buy Nothing group and neighbors would have an array to offer you.

Gabb Watch

We’ve been using the Gabb Watch for many months, and it’s been a great tool to give our boys some independence. I’m especially looking forward to it being useful this summer when the boys are playing with friends outside. Check out the full review of the Gabb Watch that I shared a few months ago. I’m excited to also share some suggestions from one of our Honestly Modern contributors, Reese Moore.

Organic Lavender Mist

The organic lavender mist is a favorite part of my evening routine. We spray down the sheets as a way to relax while reading in bed. I swear it helps us fall asleep faster.

Pressed Flower Jewelry

I recently got a pressed flower necklace from a wedding. The necklace is sentimental, but it’s also a sweet way to celebrate spring right now. I mean, is anything more beautiful than flowers?

The artist makes other pressed flower jewelry items including these pressed flower earrings. Spring and summer are the perfect time for these bright and colorful accessories!
