Welcome to Miami

We arrived in Miami and, after getting settled in to our room, we changed into some more weather-appropriate attire and grabbed dinner with friends. We stayed at The Biltmore, the hotel where the wedding took place, with all our friends who joined us for the celebration. The historic hotel was beautiful! And the college crew that gathered lives all over the country so we love having an excuse to get together and have a good time. 

After scanning my closet for the perfect outfit for this dinner while packing (and finding a few dresses like this one collecting dust), I decided I need to throw more parties, attend more events, schedule more dinners, or do something to give me more opportunities to wear fun dresses like this one. It’s a bit too dressy for everyday wear (at least in my opinion). I don’t think a trip to the park with The Little Guy in this number would end well. And it’s far too short for the office. That makes it unsuitable for most of my life. Thus – I need to attend more parties. And if people aren’t inviting me to these necessary parties, that means I have to host them myself. Sounds like my Pinterest party needs to happen more often. Logical, right? Who doesn’t love slipping on a flirty, floral dress and getting just a touch dressed up for the evening? 

On that note, I’m off to check my calendar for available dates for a night out on the town. Any other ideas where I might be able to wear this or similar dresses?
