Small Steps to a Healthier Family

FashionablyEmployed.com | Small Steps to a Healthier Family | Working mom sharing ideas to juggle career, family, style, and a little time for ourselves.

No time for healthy meals? No time to go to the gym? No time for anything but the daily grind? I feel ya!

Sometimes that seems to be true. But I’m always looking for ways to prove this mantra wrong.

I search for quick and healthy recipes. I plan and prepare meals on weekends. Those of you who signed up for the newsletter got my week-long dinner plan that includes recipes, a grocery list, weekend prep steps and mealtime prep steps to get healthy, homemade dinner on the table even for busy working moms. I gave up on the gym membership but do my best to stay active with my boys and walk regularly. (Living in the city, walking is a bit of a requirement, but it still counts.)

In any case, I wanted to share with you one small resource that might offer some ideas for moving forward on our ever-evolving journey to lead healthier lives.

Spark Health and Ultimate Bundles have put together a FREE mini-course called “The 4 Essential Habits of Healthy Families”.

The course contains a collection of quick and easy-to-follow lessons from trusted bloggers:

  • Essential Habit #1: “Nurturing your Best Self” (with Heather from Mommypotamus)
  • Essential Habit #2: “Staying Fit as a Family (Gym Membership Not Required)” (with Crystal from Money Saving Mom)
  • Essential Habit #3: “From Scratch Meal-Making” (with Katie from Kitchen Stewardship)
  • Essential Habit #4: “Using Natural Remedies” (with Katie from Wellness Mama)

Each lesson comes with a 25-minute audio segment, a PDF transcript, and a practical “Take Action” guide. I listed to the audio segments while I folded laundry and made dinner.

Cross This Off Your To Do List: Sign up for your FREE mini-course now! It’s only available until Sunday, September 6th. It’s free, so what have you got to loose? Grab it now. Let me know in the comments what you thought!
