Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 8- oz stick of butter softened
  • 1 8- oz brick of cream cheese softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 15.5 oz box of moist chocolate cake or devil's food cake
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a stand mixer, combine the butter and cream cheese. Beat in the egg and then the vanilla. Beat in the cake mix. Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Mix the powdered sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Roll the dough into 1" diameter balls, and then roll the dough balls in the powdered sugar / cinnamon mixture. Place on cookie sheet and press down in the middle with fingers lightly to slightly flatten the dough.

  5. Bake 10 - 12 minutes. The cookies should still be soft when you take them out, so they don't become overcooked.
