After seeing monochromatic trends showing up this spring, I wanted to give it a try and see if I could make it work with my current gear. I was pretty pumped with the outcome, especially because I finally got to wear the vintage pendant necklace I bought last summer at a flea market that I’ve had such a hard time finding a spot for in my outfits. With so many attempts, it always seemed to fall in an odd place relative to the neckline of the top.
I also enjoy challenging myself a bit because I often stumble upon a new way to wear something I’ve never tried before. In this case, I’d never thought to wear this dress with a shirt underneath it; I’d always stuck with sweaters and blazers over it. I wore this outfit to work on one of my busiest and craziest days of the year because I knew it would be extra comfy – the long sleeve T-shirt, flats, and sweater dress were cozy and warm and perfect for my exhausted self on the cold winter day. (The sun is decieving – it was not warm!)
