If only we could wear sweatpants to work everyday, wouldn’t that be grand?
I guess some of us do. My brother-in-law teaches physical education. He wears something like sweatpants or shorts everyday. If I worked at a store like Niketown or Athleta, sweatpants could definitely be in my dress code. But working in the corporate world, I never thought I’d have that chance.
Enter joggers to prove me wrong! This trimmer fit, generally cropped, not typically 100% cotton derivative of sweatpants has found a way to sneak into the more casual corporate offices, and it’s a trend toward which I’ve gravitated strongly.
I don’t really know what my bosses think. To be honest, it’s likely they haven’t noticed because I tend to dress them up with fancy heels and blazers. The fact that they blend right in to the business casual dress code despite being suitable for sleeping precisely highlights why I’ve developed an adoration for these fashion favorites. I have a girl crush!
In the flurry of love spewing from my fingers, the proof is in the pants that these joggers definitely switch hit. From night to day, dressed up to loungewear, work to weekend, whatever transition you’re feeling, it’s likely a pair of great joggers will carry you through the transition.
I also have a mad crush on these shoes. Have you checked out Bucketfeet? M and some friends find them a bit funky, which I certainly understand. They are right up my alley, though, and that’s all that matters. Bucketfeet, a local Chicago start-up taking the world of shoes by storm, commissions artists from around the world to create unique designs for each pair of shoes. Mine were designed by a guy in London.
Have you pulled on a pair of these pants? While I’m looking forward to all the style in the link ups, I’d love to see any jogger style you’ve sported lately. Thanks in advance for sharing!
