Nevermind that my hair is three different lengths in these photos. I wore my “work sweatpants” to the office a handful of times and wanted to share a bunch of the looks with you all at once.
The different hair lengths prove two things: 1) I didn’t wear the pants three days in a row and 2) my long-time stylist has been cutting my hair too short each time I return.
I liked the pink shirt style the best. I could live with the purple shirt length. Now it’s just way to friggin’ short. But it’s hair, and it grows back, so I’ve yet to lose any sleep over it. (I’m too busy losing sleep over babies waking up in the middle of the night and blogging after they go to bed, truth be told. I have no sleep left to lose…)
As for style chatter, this is my sneaky way of wearing sweatpants in a conservative business casual environment. Most people don’t know what they really are. The more stylish ladies have asked a few questions, dropped their jaw when I revealed I wore Athleta pants to work, and suggested they might follow suit. (Maybe I shouldn’t be divulging my secrets on the very public Internet?)
Mine have a fairly warm lining so they aren’t great for warm weather. We don’t get much of that in Chicago any time of year though, so I actually wore this green blazer and jogger outfit again last Thursday when I spoke on a panel to a crew of college recruiting candidates.
The trend seems to be sticking more than some might have thought. When you think about it though, what’s not to love about the athleisure trend?! Are you on board?
P.S. Link up down below all these jogger iterations.
