First off, see those three little dark dots on my shirt above? I took these photos after we got off the plane on our trip to Miami last week for a friend’s wedding. Just before taking the photos, some water dripped off one of the leaves. I suppose I could have retouched the image and gotten rid of the spots, but let’s keep it real, right?
Moving on… when I heard about the partnership Target planned with FEED USA, I looked forward to checking out the collection when it arrived in stores a few weeks ago. I love Target (who doesn’t?) and hunger in this country is one of the charitable needs that most captures my attention, so I hoped I would find something I liked. And no doubt, Target did not let me down. I picked up this tank and have lots of ideas about how to wear it, especially since it’s finally warming up around here. The “12” tag above indicates that proceeds from the purchase of this shirt will provide 12 meals to hungry neighbors.
Although I certainly did not need the cardigan, which I also wore in San Diego and to work recently, once I arrived in Miami, it saved me from freezing on the coldest plane ride I think I have ever taken. Even The Man, who rarely is cold, couldn’t shake the over air conditioned temperature.
Have you had a chance to check out Target’s FEED USA collection? If so, did anything strike your fancy?
And stop back in the next few days for a few more posts about our trip in Miami including my DIY swim cover up and our black tie reception attire.
