Do you remember as a kid (and maybe still as an adult) when you loved opening up a brand new box of crayons or markers and sitting down to color (in the lines, of course) with some good ol’ Crayolas? Seriously, Crayola makes the best markers and crayons! Do competing brands or generics even exist anymore? They could never compete in my “high-end” coloring world.
Growing up, I always favored the Bold box; I remember the Originals, the Pastels, the Florescents, and the Bolds (maybe there were others that never made it into my arsenal), but I always liked the Bolds the best. I kind of have a feeling I might not have had a lot of company in that camp, but who knows… Today, I sort of felt like a box of Bold Crayola markers. I think I would have found a lot of these colors in that box, no?
For the record, this outfit has NOTHING to do with professional style ~ leggings (or Lululemon yoga pants as the case may be) have NO PLACE in any office in which I will ever work. But I took these photos when I was almost 8 months pregnant and on a day when I worked from home, and I wanted to wear something comfortable. And I can’t wait to start wearing this jacket more often now that the weather is finally starting to warm up just the slightest.
On a sidenote, not a single item I wore in this outfit came from a Maternity department. I mention that only to encourage those of you with baby bumps or future baby bumps to always think outside the box when shopping (in stores or your own closet) for something to wear as your belly grows. A little stretch in any fabric can go a long way in covering the growing bump under the right circumstances.
