(Note: The top portion of the dress is currently a bit snug, but I’m still nursing and selected a size that would fit for years to come.) While I didn’t customize the sizing on this dress, I did make some small but meaningful adjustments on this houndstooth dress, and I found the customization made a significant difference in the fit.
On this dress, I did customize the style. The dress is designed to sit just below the knee. Instead, I selected an above-the-knee style that I find more flattering for my proportions. I thought long and hard about adding half sleeves as well, but opted for the sleeveless version which I anticipated would be more versatile throughout the seasons and offer more layering options.
