Ever been rummaging through a secondhand shop (brick and mortar thrift store, online consignment shop, what-have-you) and stumbled on a seemingly dated but perfectly on trend piece?
That’s exactly what happened when I landed on these navy corduroy pants from Adriano Goldschmeid at the Salvation Army not long ago.
I knew corduroys were making a comeback. I also knew not too many people owned them anymore and didn’t expect to find a pair secondhand. Imagine my delight when the perfect pair… in a perfect color… in my size… and from a reputable brand… caught my eye.
I keep a wishlist on my phone of items I’d like to add to my closet. It’s particularly helpful when in a thrift store to provide some direction and guidance among the occasionally disorderly chaos. I never expected this selection from my list would grace my closet from a previous owner. But here they are. And they’re super comfortable to boot.
I remembering owning a pair of corduroy pants in middle school. I think I remember them feeling a little rough and rigid. That was a long time ago, so that memory comes with no guarantees regarding accuracy. However, whether it be the brand, the style, or the fact that someone else wore them in, these babies are perfect and soft and lovely!
Thrfited or not, I suspect you have the pieces to give this outfit a test run if it’s up your alley. As always, be sure to share it on Instagram if you try it out and use the hashtag #FEInspired Style so I can take a look.
