Gorgeous Sustainable Baby Clothes That Grow With Them

Growing up, I loved holding babies. Little tiny babies, those brand-spanking new ones. I never had a killer maternal instinct that forever longed to be a Mom, but I loved holding those itty bitty humans.

Then I had my own babies. After holding my own babies all. the. time. for years, I lost interest in holding other people’s babies. I guess I got my fill with my own kids.

I love my children dearly, and I’m enjoying them ever-more as they get older, but oh man I carried them around a lot.. for years. Any parent, and especially any mom, knows what I mean.

My sister has two kiddos that are right about the same age as mine. When her two were really young, I never spent much doting on them. I was too caught up tending to my own tiny babies. We visited and played together, but I’ve always been so exhausted corralling my own monkeys I didn’t have much left in the tank to get down on the floor and play with her kids.

In just a couple weeks time, she’s due to have her third baby. This time, I’m pumped to go visit her and meet this new little peanut. I’m definitely looking forward to holding her!

I know what you’re thinking… when’s #3 for you? Nope.. not happening. That ship has sailed; M and I know with conviction that a family of four is just right for us. But I do enjoy holding those little tiny babies again, despite having no interest in waking up with them every three hours or changing a butt load of diapers for years on end.

Although my sister has plenty of baby gear and certainly has all the necessities, I’ve been pining to get her just a couple of simple things that this third child (who will forever live in hand-me-downs) can call her own.

Last time I saw my sister, I gave her this plush pink blanket that I know her little baby will call home for the first few months. My sister has ditched the array of swings and seats that can fill a room, so this blanket will be the perfect place that’s just for the baby.

I also gave her this adorable bright pink ruffle romper from Beya Made. I don’t generally gift baby clothes, but this brand changed my mind.

Laurel, the founder of Beya Made, reached out to me just to let me know about their brand. To be honest, I get a lot of emails from brands, many of which don’t really resonate with me.

When it comes to buying “all the things” for babies, we really don’t need most of it. Babies don’t have many material needs, so I’m all about finding a couple of perfect little gifts that will last for the long haul.
