This past weekend, we headed to my parents’ house for the weekend to celebrate a few family milestones. Among them, my youngest sister graduated from high school. After five daughters, my parents will be “empty-nesters” in just a couple of months. I expect they will go through a bit of shock after thirty years of raising children, but I have no doubt they will find plenty to occupy their time.
To the ceremony, I wore this dress (which I have also worn to work). I did not initially intend to wear a jacket, but I picked up this blazer for less than $4 at a thrift store earlier in the day and was glad to have it. The weather never warmed up as much as I expected, and the jacket helped even out the dark tights and boots so the outfit wasn’t too “heavy” on the bottom. (Sans jacket I was rocking a “winter on the bottom, summer on the top” look… not my plan.)
