Just as I was entertaining the idea of purchasing my first blanket scarf, my mother-in-law took care of the decision and bought me this one for Christmakkuh (what we call the Christmas / Hanakkuh hybrid celebration over Thanksgiving in our mixed religion family).
You guys. It’s so soft and cozy, and I totally love it. I haven’t quite figured out all the ways I want to wear it, because it certainly can be a bit overwhelming (as any owner of a blanket scarf knows full well). But on a chilly day in my cold office, you better believe this will be wrapped around me keeping me nice and warm.
I shared a similar outfit not long ago. But I love the element of cozy yet sophisticated appeal the blanket scarf adds to the overall look.
Blanket scarves are everywhere on blogs. I’m starting to see them more in “real life” after spending all last winter wondering if the trend would ever transition from online to in-person. Without a doubt, the blanket scarf has arrived. And I’m a fan.
Have you tried one? If you’re not sure how to style it, I just opted for a traditional wrap around my neck. I placed the middle of the scarf in front of my neck, wrapped the ends around in both directions, and then draped the ends back over my shoulders in front. You can also check out four more ways to style a blanket scarf in this post. I’m pretty sure her scarf is a little smaller than mine, but it’s worth a peek if you’re curious.
