I woke up, got dressed, packed my bag and ate breakfast, and did all those “morning things” before heading out to work for the day. As I darted for the door, The Man stopped me and said ‘whoa whoa, is your skirt unzipped?!’ Yep – the crappy zipper had fallen down (and thank goodness he mentioned something because I recall having trouble with that skirt the last time I wore it). So, I turned back around, headed straight for my closet, and hastily threw together this outfit (and threw the other finicky skirt in my “needs to be fixed” pile).
I did not love the outfit much, and inspected my reflection in just about every dark window I walked past to assess if it looked alright (I sound really vain, which I don’t believe to really be my style…hopefully). But with my camera packed, I figured I’d take photos anyway and see what happened. It doesn’t hold up as my favorite outfit ever, but I found it put together enough to make the cut for posting on this here little blog. I can’t argue with a little luck everyone once in a while (or maybe all this posting and writing about my clothes – that sounds so lame – has taught me a thing or two, certainly not more than that, about throwing together a skirt and shirt on the fly).
Who knows what I have learned about mixing and match outfits, but I definitely have learned to stop staring at my reflection in every dark window between here and the office…
