As a shopper of primarily sustainable and socially responsible brands, I don’t often buy pieces from Nordstrom. My husband, however, loves the store and bought me this sweater from there last year as a gift.
The boots I purchased with my own $100 Nordstrom Gift Card that I won participating in the Get Your Pretty On Work Wear Style Challenge earlier this fall. I also participated in the Fall Style Challenge which ended just last week.
For those new to the Style Challenge series, Alison Lumbatis, blogger at Get Your Pretty On, hosts a style challenge series each season to help women learn to work and remix a capsule wardrobe, of sorts. She creates a collection of pieces that will be remixed in each series and then shares 21 outfit formulas to try over the course of 21 days.
I’ve really enjoyed the two challenges in which I’ve participated. I think she does a great job showcasing many different ways to wear the same pieces. Most rewarding, she hosts a private Facebook Group where participants share their outfits and inspire others to achieve personal style success. It’s really pretty nice. And many women say they save money on clothes after the challenges with the help Alison offers in learning how to shop and find style that works for them!
Furthermore, who doesn’t love waking up every cold morning for three weeks knowing exactly what they’ll be wearing thanks to someone else styling their outfits?!
As colder weather and the holidays approach, the next season’s style challenge focuses on winter and festive party apparel. Early Bird registration (at a discounted price) for the GYPO Winter Style Challenge starts today and ends soon, so be sure to sign up early if you’re interested.
Have a great weekend!
