On a day much of which we spent relaxing as a family, we made a quick stop at the baby store to pick up some more childproofing gear. As The Little Guy, now very mobile, continues to find new nooks and crannies of our apartment, we find more things that need to be locked and covered and hidden. We decided from the get-go to take the child-proofing step by step and make adjustments as his curiosity changed. While at the store, I spotted sidewalk chalk. We’re often on the lookout for fun, interesting, and developmental toys that are not too expensive and don’t take up too much real estate in our relatively small apartment. I ignored the “3+” package warning and grabbed a box for us. In less than 30 seconds, he covered his clothes in chalk and started eating the blue piece. And…we’re done. I guess we will be bringing those back out another day when he’s closer to the suggested age range, which I quickly came to understand. Do you have any ideas of good toys for a little guy who’s almost one?
