I was only in the office for a half day today; I worked from home in the morning and then had meetings all afternoon. Knowing I wouldn’t be up and about much nor meeting with any clients, I threw on this strapless tank under my blazer. I don’t generally wear something like this to work, but I figured just sitting in my meeting chair all day I could adjust as needed and assess whether it was work appropriate for the future. I hate wearing something that I spend all day adjusting and in which I feel uncomfortable.
I bought the top a while back. The asymmetrical bottom hem is much longer than it appears here but this worked best for office attire. It’s long enough, actually, that when I bought it, I contemplated whether the designer intended for it to be a shirt that I liked or a dress that was far too short for me. I ultimately decided it didn’t matter, and I wear it how I feel most comfortable. I love the design along the side that you can see in the top photo and a bit in some others. That detail didn’t get much attention at the office covered by my blazer, but I was pumped to fit a ‘night out’ shirt into my work rotation.
