I return today with another episode of the Remix It Up Series sharing how I keep my clothes relevant year round. (Many people pack up their clothes and rotate their closet from season to season; I focus more on using as much as I can throughout all seasons, so I have never rotated items in or out on a regular basis – except for my maternity clothes which I cannot wait to rotate out forever after I have finished wearing them!) In any case, let’s get started on a nice, little pastel skirt I found at Target that easily fit a spring and summer rotation but I wanted to use to bring some happy color into the gray doldrums of Chicago winter.
(I took these photos last fall “pre-baby bump” but I surmise they still can provide lots of inspiration for a pastel piece that you have been holding hostage in your closet and that wants to see the light of day before Easter.)

the winter never fails to leave on our doorstep. The tights and heavy

into long, dark evenings. Oh how we love you Mr. Winter… (eye rolling)
