In the past, I rarely wore navy. To be safe, I often stuck with black as a base and then ventured into jewel tones and other shades that matched the black staples. I don’t know what sparked the venture into the navy palette, but I added a few navy pieces to my closet over the last few months (this cardigan and these shoes, among others). I have tried a few times to create monochromatic looks and that intention inspired this outfit as well. I chose to break up the navy a bit with the striped skirt, but relying on a single color to pull together an outfit made the process pretty easy.
