I don’t often find such perfect, magical light for my photos, especially on my lame balcony. But this morning, The Little Guy and I walked The Man to work and stopped by Millennium Park on the way home. With a gorgeous morning glow on a perfectly crisp summer morning, I snapped a few photos before The Little Guy got antsy. He did not last long before trying to climb out of his stroller, so we quickly proceeded on our way. (I might have also wanted to move along to limit the tourist stares as I posed for photos of myself in a very public place, but that’s neither here nor there.)
If you have never meandered through Millennium Park and you stop in Chicago, I definitely recommend checking it out, especially on an early summer morning. Aside from the limited crowds, I can’t get enough of the wonderful crisp feeling on a seventy degree summer day before the sun heats up the afternoon. It’s truly amazing. I know you can experience that crisp morning in many other parts of the country too, where it’s not too hot that is, so don’t forget to step outside and enjoy one of Mother Nature’s greatest gifts when she shares it with you.
I also have to give a little shout out to The Man for helping me put together this outfit this morning. The cooler temperatures after a recent heat wave meant my favorite white jeans were definitely due for some time. He suggested I wear them with a black top (though he used words from the ‘I’m a guy’s guy who doesn’t care a lick about fashion’ dictionary) and it made a perfect pair. Throw on a birthday gift from Mom and some snazzy early 90’s style Keds and… wallah… dressed for the day!
