Just a quick reminder, VoiceBoks nominated me as one of the Top 50 Moms Who Blog About Fashion & Beauty. Over the next month or so, they are soliciting votes for the top 10, and I would surely love to win one of those top 10 spots! If you don’t mind, I would love for you to vote for me as one of your favorites. Thanks in advance for all your votes!!
Sometimes my options for photo shoot timing (like I’m some fancy model and not a random “jane” who casually snaps photos of myself on my balcony regularly) are limited by life ~ making lunch for The Little Guy or cleaning a few dishes, doing a load of laundry or responding to some work emails, and even having to show up at the office three days a week (really?!) leave the only time for snapping some photos in the bright midday sun with harsh shadows from my balcony railings. So I apologize for the funky lighting, but I think you still get the gist of my gear for the day.
Although I spent this day home with The Little Guy, I had a charitable networking function to attend for Step Up Women’s Network in the evening (so yoga pants and a sweatshirt would not cut it all day). One can see I certainly had fall on my mind when I put together this combination. I shared this polka dot blouse with you earlier this summer for a little Fourth of July festive look but haven’t pulled it out of my closet much since then. Though I do think with fall rolling into town, it will be called up for active style duty far more often than in recent months.
If you love polka dots, I will be back tomorrow with another polka dot blouse and lots of polka dot looks in this month’s edition of Side-By-Side Challenge.
And of course, don’t forget to share your professional style from the past week. From corporate to classroom to creative and everything in between, I’d love to see what you wear to work and know so many others are always in search of new fun and fashionable professional style ideas as well.
