As a follow up to my introduction to the Corporate Chic on the Cheap Series, I wanted to share with you a sneak peak of next week’s first post where we will focus on starting to build your great professional wardrobe by clearing out the old and making way for loving the best of what you have and making a little space for something new.
The above is a perfect example of a great way to clean out your closet to benefit others and yourself. Not only will you enjoy the liberating feeling of parting with clothing you no longer love and the joy of helping another person along their path toward professional success, but you can also snag a new piece or two for your own collection as you curate your chic corporate closet (another topic we’ll touch on in next week’s first post in the series).
This local event applies only to those of you in Chicago (thank you Cerato Boutique), but I suspect your local Dress For Success chapter has similar events or you can be an overacheiver and organize such a drive yourself. I know Macy’s has held similar events in the past as well. Sign up for your local Dress for Success chapter’s email distribution list to learn about these types of events before they happen in your neck of the woods.
* I hope Dress For Success doesn’t mind that I borrowed the above image from their email I received the other day. It’s all well-intentioned and credit is given where credit is due, so I think they will approve.
