The third and final post from our San Diego trip, I think our trip to the Cabrillo Lighthouse was my favorite of the tourist activities that we enjoyed in California. We arrived just as it opened on a Monday morning so we had few accompanying tourists. It’s a cute little house with amazing 360 degrees views of the city, San Diego Bay, and the Pacific Ocean. Luckily, the standard June Gloom morning burned away before we arrived so we could fully enjoy the views.
I think you recognize all the pieces of this outfit. When I travel, I typically wear one simple set of earrings and necklace to minimize packing (and risk of losing jewelry, which would certainly not be out of my norm). I wore the sweater earlier in the trip at the Zoo but also have mixed it into my work attire. I have this trusty Target shirt in orange as well. And of course, my beloved fluorescent polka dot Keds…
As I have noted in the past, The Man is a huge Philadelphia sports fan. We scheduled our trip around the Phillies schedule so we could see the Padres and Phillies play. The Padres won the game we attended, which did not please The Man, but my brother-in-law, an equally as passionate San Diego sports fan, took the victory in stride.
Have you been to San Diego recently? Is there anything you’d recommend that maybe we missed this time around?
Look at this little guy! I certainly had no interest in touching him, but I wanted a quick photo for the road. We don’t have many of these in Chicago.
